Notes: Written for the prompt word “New” at fan_flashworks. Of all the vague ideas I had for the theme, nothing would stick, so I tried to think of uses for it in fandoms I write less often. I’m not sure exactly where this came from… but clearly, it has something to do with memories of the video-game levels I always hated the most back in my teens.
